Dr. Kelly has written two books. One is a textbook for introductory engineering graphics, and the other is a memoir recounting his teenage years and struggling with education, mental health, abuse, foster care, and homelessness.

The Foundational Engineering Graphics: Principles and Applications material was developed through collaborative work by multiple universities. The content is intended to encourage a deeper understanding of engineering graphics concepts with increased engagement to promote student mastery as well as self-efficacy. These materials provide enhanced relevance
of engineering graphics by demonstrating real-world examples of how engineering graphics can be applied.

This book is part of a project funded by the National Science Foundation.

Falling Down: A Teenager’s True Story of Redemption – Paperback

Falling Down is the true story of a teenager who went down the wrong path and a family who struggled to keep up. It is meant to serve as proof to those families and children who cannot see a way out of a difficult situation and that they are not alone. There is reason to keep going, and what they are going through is temporary.
